The Noosa Electric Vehicle Expo 2018 organised by Zero Emissions Noosa was a blast! We had so much fun talking to all the people excited about electric vehicles and were blown away by the enthusiasm for the Red ’64 Beetle (owned by Nick Lake of Nickel Energy) we had on display. There were so many people who owned, or had owned, classic Volkswagens that wanted to know how they could convert theirs to run on electrons. There were hundreds of people in attendance on the day, which says a lot about the growing excitement for EVs.
The QLD State Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Mark Bailey MP came along to see what is happening in the local Electric Vehicle scene. His attendance is a positive thing for EV uptake and hopefully Mark Bailey can see the need for more incentives and rebates for EV ownership in QLD.
Vehicles of all kinds were on display from fun looking 3 wheelers, electric off road skate boards and e-bicycles, electric boats, Solar Electric Race cars, amazing privately owned electric conversions and Teslas, but in our opinion, we had the biggest draw from the crowd! It’s hard to miss a bright red Beetle!
