Fully Charged Live is coming to Australia for the very first time!

Fully Charged is the number one youtube channel for all things relating to renewable energy, sustainability and electric vehicles.

This show is going to be massive and Traction EV is stoked to be able to show 2 of our most recent EV conversions to the public.

A huge thanks to Fellten who have invited us to display our vehicles alongside their trade stand in the Eclectic and Electric section of the show.

Traction EV is heading to the VW Spectacular 2022!

After two years of cancellations for this bi-annual event, it is finally time for VW fans from all over Australia to congregate to the Aussie VW meetup – this one is not to be missed.
Started in 1984 by local enthusiasts and VW repair shop owners, Donna and Mark Pell, this year marks the 23rd VW Spectacular in 38 years. Hats off to Donna and her hard-working team of volunteers! Not only do they accommodate hundreds of VWs and their owners (more than 750 cars attended the 2018 event) but they also raise thousands of dollars for local charities.
The event goes for a full week from the 24th July – 1st August and promises to be plenty of fun with lap dashes on Raleigh Raceway, cruises through the week, musical nights, street parades, markets and so much more. Traction EV will be there with the blue NetGain HyPer 9 ’68 Beetle from Friday to Sunday – unfortunately Raleigh Raceway isn’t prepared for electric vehicles and that means that we won’t be allowed to race the electric Beetle with its brethren ☹
It is an understatement to say that we were disappointed to find out as we were really looking forward to zip around this fun looking track…but life goes on and we are still looking forward to chatting to people about EV’s, EV conversions and mingling with V-Dubbers from all around the country!

Red 64 Beetle Electric Vehicle Expo

Blog.picThe Noosa Electric Vehicle Expo 2018 organised by Zero Emissions Noosa was a blast! We had so much fun talking to all the people excited about electric vehicles and were blown away by the enthusiasm for the Red ’64 Beetle (owned by Nick Lake of Nickel Energy) we had on display. There were so many people who owned, or had owned, classic Volkswagens that wanted to know how they could convert theirs to run on electrons. There were hundreds of people in attendance on the day, which says a lot about the growing excitement for EVs.

The QLD State Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Mark Bailey MP came along to see what is happening in the local Electric Vehicle scene. His attendance is a positive thing for EV uptake and hopefully Mark Bailey can see the need for more incentives and rebates for EV ownership in QLD. 

Vehicles of all kinds were on display from fun looking 3 wheelers, electric off road skate boards and e-bicycles, electric boats, Solar Electric Race cars, amazing privately owned electric conversions and Teslas, but in our opinion, we had the biggest draw from the crowd! It’s hard to miss a bright red Beetle!
