The Nissan R31 Skyline is a great car to convert to electric. It is popular in the Australian drift and grip racing scene due to the high parts availability as well as many interchangeable parts available from other cars in the Nissan family.
Our electric Nissan R31 Skyline, also called the Shocker, is powered by Twin Netgain Warp 11 motors and Evnetics Soliton1 controllers, a setup that makes for some insane power figures!
We were stoked to discover that the RB30 and factory 5spd manual weigh almost exactly the same as the two Netgain Warp-11 electric motors and the new Reid Racing 2-speed Powerglide.
The main focus for the Shocker is track use, but we wanted to keep it street legal to be able to drive around town, to the track and maybe enter the Street Machine Drag Challenge which requires a street legal car.
Stay tuned for more updates on this crazy build.
